Uses
It may be used to make display cabinets, wall-panels and storage units. It’s also Widely used for furniture, indoors decoration, etc
Advantages
1).It is dense, flat, stiff, has no knots and is easily machined.
2).Because it is made up of fine particles it does not have an easily recognisable surface grain.
3).It can be painted to produce a smooth quality surface.
4).It have low "tear out," which means that when sawed, the end has a smooth cut instead of a jagged edge. This also means that a coat of primer and a couple of coats of paint take well, leaving an attractive, finished surface unlike other composite wood products.
5).MDF have good density profile with high bending strength and modulus of elasticity, dimension stability.
6).The MDF also with low formaldehyde content, smooth stable surface of MDF make it an ideal substrate for surfacing with decorative paper or PVC foils and direct painting.

1. Melamine

About the product
Melamine is a thermo-fused panel product. Decorative paper is saturated with melamine resin and partially cured. The paper formation is similar
to that of high pressure laminates. Final curing occurs at the time of hot press lamination. A permanent bond is formed as the resin of the paper flows into the surface of the board.
Features
Highly durable and versatile. Easy to maintain. Cost effective because panels are finished, ready for machining. Less labor than laying up high pressure laminates, yet gives the same appearance. Melamine panels will not de-laminate.
